The story starts with a pair of clippers, a very soggy yellow lab named Rosco, and two dog-obsessed humans who had no idea what they were getting into.

More than ten years ago, bath time at home felt like an extreme sport. Rosco hated water. He hated crates. He hated nail trims. (Honestly, he had a list.) He was at an age where stairs were not easy, so every bath turned into a full-body workout that ended with soaked towels, slippery floors, and us questioning our life choices.  Most groomers didn’t know what to do with him.

There had to be a better way.

That “better way” became Doggy Daydreamz, the small, family-owned grooming salon we built from scratch in 2014. We created the kind of place we wished existed when Rosco was giving us his absolutely not face, a calm, crate-free, low-stress space where dogs are treated with patience, kindness, and a whole lot of love.

What started as one very personal problem turned into a second home for hundreds of local pups. Wagging tails. Proud pet parents. Groomers who genuinely care. The kind of community you can only build when dogs come first.

As we grew, we fell in love with educating pet parents on things like what shampoo might be best for their dog, what brush should they use at home, how often should I bathe my dog, etc…..

So we brought our salon life online and created The Dog Buzz, first as a blog, then a YouTube channel where we share real grooming advice, behind-the-scenes tips, and honest education to help pet parents feel more confident at home.

We still hadn’t found a shampoo we LOVED, so we did the slightly wild very small business owner thing: WE MADE ONE!

Cologio was created from years of hands-on grooming, real salon experience, research and love. Cologio is the name of our current lab, Rosco’s successor in the home. 

We use biodegradable, paraben-free, cruelty-free, non-toxic ingredients — including soothing Manuka honey and nourishing botanicals, so dogs get healthy skin, soft coats, and that just-left-the-groomer shine.
