from 30 reviewsThis moisturizing dog shampoo is exactly what I needed for my dogs. First and most importantly they love it without question and that is a selling point for me. I have gotten other shampoos in the past and it has irritated their skin, making them afraid to take baths when it is time. This shampoo is gentle to their skin, and it does exactly as it says it does. Secondly, the shampoo does put a shine to their coat. Also it doesn't create tangles in the hair so when their coat is dry, I am able to comb their hair out. The third item I love about this shampoo is how it leaves my dogs smelling fresh and clean. After giving my dogs their bath with the shampoo, I couldn't help going to each of the dogs and keep smelling them because they smell so good. And finally, because it does not irritate the skin, it worked perfectly for one of my dogs who has sensitive skin and past shampoos I have bought has irritated, causing her to constantly be itching, but this shampoo did not do that.I have used the shampoo on all of my dogs from poodles to chihuahuas and all of them love the shampoo. It is now part of the normal routine to use when my dogs get their haircuts. This moisturizing shampoo is dog approved, human approved, and I highly recommend it.

I have a small, fluffy dog on our little farm, so he can get pretty stinky. I bathed him a week ago, and he's still silky smooth. The fresh, clean scent lasted for several days, too. Even though the scent has faded, he still doesn't have that "dog smell," which is awesome. If you want that professional groomer smell without the professional groomer price, this is the shampoo for you. It might be a little pricey, but it's way better than paying a groomer or using the cheap stuff at a self-service dog wash.

My German Shepherd was ok with this dog shampoo. She was very happy its made in the United States and not imported.Unlike the imported brands that cautioned against using on Humans, my dog thought if it was not safe for humans, then why would a human want to use an imported dog shampoo on his dog?Anyway, the aroma is incredible. The feel of the shampoo is good.It rinses off nicely. This is a 20:1 ratio, so dilute the shampoo first.Overall, this dog shampoo works well.

I can't contain my excitement about Cologio dog shampoo! Ever since I started using it, my dog's coat has transformed into a glorious sight! My long-haired German Shepherd’s fur is now softer and shinier than ever before. It's like magic in a bottle! And the best part? The irresistible scent of vanilla and honey that lingers—it's so delightful, I find myself torn between wanting to cuddle her or take a bite! My only wish is that they’d create a version for humans, because this stuff is absolutely phenomenal!

I’ve been using this shampoo with a nozzle that automatically mixes the shampoo in, so that may have affected the sudsing a bit. The scent was a little strong during application, but it rinsed out easily and didn’t leave any heavy residue. It cleaned really well, and the next day my dog still smells light and fresh—not like a floral-scented grandma, which happened with another brand (Hyponic). Big plus! I paired it with an unscented conditioner and didn’t use any sprays, but my little dirt-magnet of a pup still smells clean. Definitely impressed so far!

Lathers up nicely, smells clean without being overpowering, and makes your dog snuggle-worthy again. Bonus: doesn’t turn bath time into a slime fest.

I tried this Cologio dog shampoo on my pups when they were a little overdue for a bath, and it worked wonderfully. It left their coats clean, soft, and smelling fresh without being overpowering. I really appreciate that it is made with clean ingredients, so I feel good about using it on them. The fact that it is made in the USA is another plus, and the price makes it a great value for the quality you get. I will definitely be restocking once this bottle is gone and highly recommend it to other pet owners.

I have had this for 19 days and used it for 2 baths. The first thing I noticed is how easily it lathers even when mixed thin. I filled a 32 oz squeeze bottle, added a small measure of shampoo, then topped with water to hit the 20:1 ratio. It worked through the coat fast, lifted dirt, and rinsed clean without endless scrubbing. The vanilla milk and honey scent is warm but not cloying. On my dog it stays pleasant for about 2 to 3 days, and the usual dog smell stays away closer to 5. Coat feel is where it shines. After each bath the fur dries soft and fluffy, and brushing is smoother. I also see more loose undercoat come out right after the bath, which makes the next few days of shedding easier to manage. Skin has stayed calm with no post bath itching, which I credit to the gentle, non toxic, paraben free formula and the honey in the mix.Value is better than the price suggests. At $17.99 for a 16 oz bottle, a true 20:1 dilution gives about 2.6 gal of usable shampoo. That is plenty for routine baths. My only nitpick is the liquid is on the thin side, so pour with care to avoid waste, but performance is strong. Clean dog, soft coat, fresh scent, easy rinse. I am happy with it.

I really like this shampoo! It's a little on the pricey side, but it dilutes out well and doesn't irritate either of my dogs' skin. I particularly like using it for the fur around my golden retriever's ears - she is prone to ear infections and general nastiness, and the medicated drops she has to use to clear everything up just add to the overall funk going on around her ears. This shampoo is gentle enough to be used diluted a bit on a wet washcloth to clean her ears and is easy to wash away with a bit of water. Other shampoos have a tendency to not want to wash off without hardcore rinsing, but I didn't have that problem with this one. Overall, I'm happy with it!

This Cologio Shampoo smells so good. My family and I love it. So does Emi.

Our yellow lab is almost three and loves getting dirty, so baths are a regular thing for him. Because of that, it's important to have a shampoo that’s not harsh on his skin, and this formula seems to be nice and gentle. I was actually surprised that it lathered so well after diluting it. With his thick coat, a lot of shampoos just seem to disappear into his fur, but this one worked in easily and felt like it cleaned thoroughly. It has a fresh scent that isn’t overpowering and sticks around for a couple of days, which is nice without being too much.At first, the whole 20 to 1 dilution thing was a little confusing, but I came across a tip that made it way easier. Just add the 20 parts water and 1 part shampoo together (so, 21 total parts), then divide the size of whatever mixing bottle you’re using by 21. I used a 32 oz bottle and ended up with about 1.5 oz of shampoo and the rest water. Easy enough. A 16 oz bottle ends up making over two and a half gallons, which is a great value. So this 16 oz bottle of shampoo will end up making over 2.5 gallons!

I am not going to lie; we have a very stinky dog! He is a rescue that someone abandoned because he was so stinky and has allergies! I am always trying to find a shampoo that will help because believe me, it gets to where his odor burns my eyes, but he is such a wonderful dog and a protector for us, our 8 rescued cats any my senior Boston. From the moment we opened the bottle I fell in love with the scent! It was the perfect consistency and it does get sudsy but I did not get to it in time for a pic with wet hands! When the bath was over, even my hallway smelt fresh. It has been 4 days and he still spells fine. I think it is awesome to be able to buy salon quality shampoo for Fred at such a great price. And I know Fred appreciates it because this is the closest he is getting to a doggie salon, and he is good with that.

The fragrance of this pet shampoo is so nice that I'm tempted to use it on myself. It didn't produce a super-sudsy later for me, but that's ok. It was a rich enough lather for me to feel that it was effective. It feels cleansing, not soapy. It's definitely moisturizing - my dog's coat was super-soft and fluffy after washing, even without adding a secondary conditioner (which I usually do). It's moisturizing and detangling enough that I had an easy time brushing through her double coat afterwards. Though the listing doesn't mention de-shedding properties, my dog's coat released a lot of loose fur after washing with this shampoo, which made brushing her feel really satisfying. It's not cheap. But our dog isn't romping through mud puddles or anything, so we only bathe her 1-2 times per month. This bottle of dog shampoo will last me a lot longer than a bottle of my own human shampoo, which costs more. Most importantly, I feel like it's actually caring for her coat rather than stripping it dry.

The shampoo lathered beautifully, allowing me to work it through my dog's fur efficiently. She usually needs a couple of washes to do an effective job of removing the coarseness of the fur. It rinsed out effortlessly, and I noticed that my dog's coat felt soft immediately after the wash. After using this shampoo, my dog's coat looked shiny and healthy. It’s effective, gentle, and leaves my dog smelling nice, which the wife appreciates.

My dog was recently spayed so I can't give her a proper bath for a couple of weeks, but I used this to try and clean her filthy little paws in the meantime. The product seems extremely gentle, I didn't experience any irritation getting it on my skin and my pup didn't seem to either. It doesn't have any strong fragrance despite being listed as vanilla milk & honey, but if you prefer a subtle scent that is a good thing. It helped to remove the dirt from her paws that wasn't totally baked in and she just chilled while I scrubbed her beans with it. No complaints, I will update when she's healed and I can give her a proper bath, she needs it.Update: my dog chewed up a bright orange paint marker. She seems ok, but the immediate evidence was that her paw turned bright orange. I've added a photo of that. This washed off the dried paint marker with no issue and smelled good, too.
